4,000 fish baps were served to the public for free on the day

Over 140 volunteers from 6 churches came together with the aim to serve fish baps to people for free and use the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000 to talk about the gospel.

The event was started by a Samba Band who processed from the local shopping precinct to the
event site and played there. Fresh cod fish baps were provided by three catering vans and were
consistently of a very high quality. The numbers built up from around 12noon.

On the stage music was provided by a Christian folk singer and Christian band. There were three 10 minute presentations of the gospel based on the miracle, all encouraged people to find out more about who Jesus was by taking a Mark’s gospel. Two personal testimonies were shared from the stage. Some fish baps were taken out to the local beach and along the seafront.

In the early evening a city-wide youth event was held that provided two talks aimed at young
people and had a local band and a rap artist from London.

3,000 people heard the gospel message
