Glorious Dinners
For a number of years, Faith & Football have been running several Glorious Dinners each year in partnership with Soteria Trust. Guest speakers share the gospel after a meal is shared.
From 2025 on, LP-J supported Faith & Football and the Soteria Trust running several Glorious Dinners. Christians invited non-Christian friends to attend a dinner with them at the Village Hotel. After dinner, a guest speaker, such as Rev Mark Ritchie (pictured) shares the good news of Jesus, in Mark's case, using comedy. At the dinner on the 6th June 2025, 146 people attended.
One attendee said: "What a difference a day makes! After attending the Glorious Dinner last night, I feel so uplifted and full of hope. I slept so well — even had some wild dreams! Most importantly, I prayed the prayer of salvation. I was so inspired that I picked up one of the free books and, as soon as I got home, I pulled out my Bible, ready to dive in. Being part of the evening was such a joy, and my friend felt exactly the same — she had a great night’s sleep and said she felt amazing too. It was a truly beautiful evening."
People heard the good news and responded!
